7-04-2008	We were open for the day of Independence. No firework was allow in Nevada county this year, Because of worst fire situation in California.
4-06-2008	Our business schdule is changed. Now, we open from Wednesday to Sunday.
4-01-2008	The recipe for Tempura sauce has been changed. It used to be right brown color, now, it became clear color sauce. Before we used ingredients of strong soy sauce, dried bonito, etc, Now, White soy sauce ( mainly wheat ), broth from seaweed, Dried bonito and mirin are the all ingredients. We would like to introduce high end recipe from Japan to you. Enjoy sophisticate taste & clearness sauce with KAIDO famous crispy Tempura dishes. It,s recommended, mix with grinded ginger and white radish. We are one of the few restaurants in America using this recipe now,

8-29-2007	New taste has arrived into our Kaido dinner menu. Please. try our new flavor sauce dishes. It calls " Spicy sauce". You can use any of main materials, like Chicken, Beef & Salmon. Enjoy Kaido style oriental spicy sauce!
8-29-2007	The time has come ... We eventually decided that closing of Lunch Business at 29th of August, 2007. Lunch has been opened for almost 3 years since we started restaurant. Kaido boat has gone to sea at last ..... See you next time!

11-23-2006	New 40 inches TV appered in dinning room. Old Japanese movie are on showing to make a oriental atmosphere in order to feel you are in Japan. These films are carefully selected from old Japanese film library of Kazu, , owner, of KAIDO restaurant. Most Movies were directed by famous Japanese film directors, like Yasujiro Ozu, Mikio Naruse, Toshio Kurosawa and other, who inspired and influenced many of present directors. The golden era of Japanese movie time was 40 ~ 60 years ago. We produced many great films to world at that time as may already know. You might see old silent movie, monochrome movie or contemporary animation films at restaurant from now on. Please, enjoy with your meal and sake accompanied by a masterpiece of our respectable film makers.

4-10-2006	Fresh Green Salad has been separated from main dish. And Japanese taste of side cooked vegetables are added to next of entree on the dish. This is Japanese style of " Okazu " ( as a Garnish ) ex, Kiriboshi-daikon , Konnyaku-no-Itameni, Kyabetsu-no-Yuzumisokake. etc...
